| Washington state Speaker Laurie Jinkins J.D.’90 will deliver the keynote address for the 133rd Commencement Ceremony.
Jinkins serves the 27th Legislative District in the Washington state House of Representatives, where she made history in 2020 as the first woman and lesbian speaker of the house. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Puget Sound School of Law (later the Seattle University School of Law), as well as Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Let us know how to properly pronounce your name during the Commencement ceremony. If interested, go to StageClip and log in using your campus email address and Student ID. Once logged in, search for your name and listen to the provided pronunciation. If you want to update the pronunciation, you may self-record your name or provide a phonetic spelling.
The deadline to review and update your name pronunciation for the ceremony is Thursday, April 24.

| All graduates are required to wear a black cap and gown over their regular attire to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
If you missed the deadline to order your cap and gown, don't worry! You can still pick up a cap and gown for the Commencement Ceremony.

We will have a variety of cap and gown packages available for purchase via credit card on May 8-9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Jones Hall, Room 104.
Please note that honor cords and stoles will be distributed by individual departments and programs.
|
The 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, in Baker Stadium. Event gates open at noon and guest seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m., followed by a reception hosted on the Event Lawn.
All guests are required to have a ticket to attend the Commencement Ceremony. Each graduate is allocated up to six tickets for family and friends. Graduates do not need a ticket as they will be participating in the ceremony. Graduates who still need to submit a request for tickets or need additional tickets can email their request to commencement@pugetsound.edu.
Graduates can pick up their tickets in the Logger Store on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday, May 9. Please bring a photo ID when picking up your tickets. After May 9, tickets will be available at Will Call beginning at noon on Sunday, May 11, at Baker Stadium.
Please be advised that all bags are subject to search upon entry into the stadium. Guests are permitted to bring a single small, clear bag no larger than 14" wide, 14" high, and 6" deep into the stadium. Alternatively, small clutches, purses, and wallets not exceeding 4.5" by 6.5" are also allowed. Larger bags, backpacks, coolers, and similar items are strictly prohibited. Guests are permitted to bring bleacher seat cushions into the stadium.
Family members and guests who are unable to attend in person can view the Commencement Ceremony at pugetsound.edu/commencement.

CEREMONY SEATING ACCOMMODATIONS
|
We have arranged a special reserved seating section on the field within the stadium, which will be located under a tent. This area is specifically designated for guests who may need ground-level seating, seating near captioning, and/or an American Sign Language interpreter.

During the weekend of Commencement, parking for students and guests will be available throughout campus. For the ceremony, accessible parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Fieldhouse parking lot (Lot 3), located directly across from Baker Stadium. Additional lots with accessible parking can be found using our interactive map, or printable campus map.
If guests require assistance getting to Baker Stadium from another parking lot, please contact Security at 253.879.3311.

| Celebrate your time at Puget Sound by sharing photos of your campus experiences! We are collecting memories from graduates to create a special slideshow for Commencement Weekend.
Share photos of campus life, your classmates and friends, favorite classes, academic achievements, club activities, or other highlights from your time at Puget Sound.
Submit your Logger memories by Friday, April 25.

Join us for Grad Party 2025, a fantastic event to celebrate your achievements with your classmates and family members on Friday, May 9, from 7–9 p.m. in Wheelock Student Center, Marshall Hall.
Take this opportunity to reminisce about the wonderful memories you’ve made at Puget Sound while viewing the grad slideshow and enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres, a hosted bar, and music. Capture the joyous moments with our fun-filled photo booth.
This is a night to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments!

You, along with your family and guests, are invited to the Commencement Brunch on Sunday, May 11, in Wheelock Student Center, served in three separate seatings: 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. We highly encourage you to purchase tickets in advance as they do sell out.
Tickets are $14.95 for Class of 2025, $35.00 for adults, $12.95 for children 12 and under, and $40.00 on the day of Commencement if available. Tickets may be purchased in advance until May 9 or until sold out.
